activeTV Asia Opening New Production Center in the Philippines

SINGAPORE: activeTV Asia, which produces The Amazing Race Philippines, is due to open a new production center based in Manila.

Local production company Mandala Productions will provide logistics, manpower and strategic support, with Johanna Kirsten Lagman stepping in as executive producer of the new initiative. The company will initially focus on reality, shiny-floor shows and factual entertainment.

“Over the coming weeks, we will announce a number of significant formats we have secured for the Philippines market as well as a key commercial tie up,” said activeTV President Michael McKay.

Added Lagman: “activeTV and Mandala have worked closely together over recent years, so the alliance was a natural progression and means activeTV Philippines will hit the ground running.”
