ABS-CBN Lines Up Hits from Asia

QUEZON CITY: ABS-CBN has acquired a slew of hit series from across Asia, including the Korean drama Love in the Moonlight.

KBS’s Love in the Moonlight will begin airing on ABS-CBN on March 6. The series stars Park Bo Gum and Kim Joo Yung in a comedic and romantic story of a crown prince who falls in love with a young woman disguised as a eunuch.

CJ E&M’s Legend of the Blue Sea, which stars Lee Min Ho and Jun Ji Hyun, is also headed to ABS-CBN. MBC’s coming-of-age sports drama Weightlifting Fairy and KBS’s Hwarang were picked up by the broadcaster as well. Rounding out the new acquisitions are MBC’s fantasy drama W, starring Lee Jong-suk and Han Hyo-joo; SBS’s Doctors, featuring Park Shin Hye and Kim Rae Won; and Turner Broadcasting System’s hit series Goblin.
