ABS-CBN Launches Filipino MCN Chicken Pork Adobo

MANILA: The Philippines’ ABS-CBN has launched its own multichannel network, Chicken Pork Adobo, featuring 90 content creators.

The MCN’s lineup features digital stars whose channels on YouTube tackle a variety of topics, among them toys, fashion, comedy, music and lifestyle. Chicken Pork Adobo is meant to help online content creators make a mark in the digital space, with the creators producing their own material on a regular basis.

Donald Lim, the head of ABS-CBN Digital Media division, said: “Chicken Pork Adobo is the platform where we empower creators who may not have a chance to go on TV. Chicken Pork Adobo democratizes it for everyone by harnessing and gathering all of them, and for them to leverage on each others’ strengths. We want to showcase the Filipino talent to the world, not only to Filipino audiences.”

Added Dennis Lim, the head of ABS-CBN Digital Media services: “Chicken Pork Adobo is aiming to sign up more creators who have something original, exciting and interesting to share online. Our main criteria for recruiting creators is first, they have to be passionate. It’s important for creators to be passionate in what they do because it’s hard to come up with new content on a regular basis. They have to like what they do.”
