The Asia Video Industry Association (AVIA) is set to host the Asia Video Summit in Singapore from November 4 to 6 with 100-plus speakers weighing in on business models, advertising, news and media industry regulations.

The theme of the event, which relocated from Hong Kong to Singapore for this year’s edition, is “State of the Video Industry.” Key issues at play in the AsiaPac landscape include business models as viewing migrates online, ad spend, fake news and media industry policies. “This is the one time of the year where we ask our stakeholders to come together to discuss the key issues we face as an industry,” said AVIA CEO Louis Boswell. “In a non-partisan and honest environment, with more to discuss than ever before, the Asia Video Summit is critical as we plot the future trajectory of our industry.”

The speaker lineup includes Astro’s Henry Tan, HOOQ’s Peter Bithos, iflix’s Mark Britt, Mediacorp’s Tham Loke Kheng, PCCW’s Janice Lee, A+E Networks’ Saugato Banerjee, TV5Monde’s Alexandre Muller and WarnerMedia Entertainment Networks’ Clément Schwebig.
