Turner Names New Ad Sales Head for Asia

HONG KONG, April 25:
Turner Entertainment Networks Asia (TENA) has appointed Jeremy Carr as its new
VP of regional entertainment advertising sales, filling the position left by
Soumitra Saha, who was tapped to head TENA in December 2007.

Based in Hong Kong, Carr
directly oversees television and interactive advertising sales for the
properties that TENA represents across 11 offices,
with particular focus on the areas of South Asia and Australia/New Zealand.
Carr is responsible for 13 television channels: Cartoon Network’s feeds in
India, Australia, Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Philippines, Pakistan and Southeast
Asia; POGO in India; Boomerang in Australia and Southeast Asia; TCM; HBO in
South Asia, as well as eight Cartoon Network online destinations and the TCM
and POGO websites. Carr is also charged with driving TENA’s sponsorship and
promotions team to deliver partner integration opportunities across brands.
Additionally, he works with Turner’s business development team on new market
development.

Prior to his appointment
at TENA, Carr was partner and director at International Media Representation
Company, managing international media groups for Australia and New Zealand. He
also spent four years at the Turner headquarters in Hong Kong as the
advertising sales account director for CNN.
