Armoza Launches New Formats

TEL AVIV: The game show Heaven or Else leads off Armoza Formats slate of new formats, which also includes the dating show Buzz Off.

In Heaven or Else, from the creators of Upgrade, two contestants are pulled from the streets and offered a risky proposition: go to Heaven or go… "somewhere else." Both contestants are then sent on five extreme missions, but with completely different conditions. In the end, only one can take home the jackpot.

Buzz Off puts a new spin on the classic dating show. One single girl is given six hours to date 20 bachelors, each equipped with a shock buzzer around his arm. As she goes from date to date, she can eliminate those who fail to impress with the buzzer, or give them a ring, guaranteeing them a spot in the finale.

Also on offer are Funny Side Up, which features on-location comedy sketches; The Incompetents, which looks at the week’s events with humor and irreverence; and Loving Anna, a drama about the effects of online dating and bride buying. These new formats are being highlighted alongside returning offerings such as Upgrade, The Bubble and Comedians at Work.

Avi Armoza, the CEO of Armoza Formats, said, "Each of these new formats was selected carefully not only for its innovation, but also for its ability to answer a need in the market, most notably the needs for comedy, stand-alone episodes and game shows."
