Peace Arch Chief Exits

TORONTO: Peace Arch Entertainment has announced the resignation of CEO Gerry Noble, less than a year after he took on the role.

“With the recent sale of its home entertainment division, I believe Peace Arch is now well situated to grow its core businesses of domestic television production and worldwide motion picture licensing,” Noble commented.

Noble joined the company in July 2008 to take over from interim CEO Jeff Sagansky. He previously held various roles at Canwest Global Communications, including president and CEO of its Canadian television operations, CEO of TV3 New Zealand, CEO of CanWest Radio, director of Network Ten in Australia, director of TV3 in Ireland and CEO of Fireworks Entertainment.

“We appreciate the role Gerry has played in helping the company refocus on its key operations and wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors,” said Peace Arch’s chairman, Robert Essery.

A new CEO is due to be announced shortly, Peace Arch said.
