Talpa Bags TV4 Commission

STOCKHOLM, September 10: TV4 Sweden has commissioned Talpa
Scandinavia to produce the new reality format The New World for this fall.

Set to run over an eight-week period, beginning in October,
individuals from opposite ends of society will be stuck together on the island
of Trälen, which was a holiday paradise for the blue-collar workers at Volvo in
the 1960s. The individuals will be tasked with creating a society in this now
abandoned location. The show will air Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30 p.m.,
beginning October 23.

Talpa Scandinavia launched in April and already has a mobile
content deal in place with Telenor. It aims to develop international formats
for TV and new media platforms. Talpa Scandinavia is a subsidiary of John de
Mol’s Talpa Media. It is headed up by former Strix chief Anna Carrfors
Bråkenhielm.
