Paramount Global and Skydance Media have formally announced a merger deal, with the new combined entity to be run by David Ellison as chairman and CEO and Jeff Shell as president.

Jeff Shell, CEO of NBCUniversal, is leaving the company effective immediately following an investigation into a complaint of "inappropriate conduct."

NBCUniversal CEO Steve Burke will retire on August 14, 2020, with Jeff Shell, currently chairman of the filmed entertainment group, named as his successor.
