Sweet and Sore, a half-hour comedy series created and written by Reem Morsi and produced by Adani Pictures and Rua Wani, has won the 2025 NATPE Global Pitch Showcase.

The winning series revolves around Farida, an ambitious Egyptian waxing lady and community marriage broker in Toronto who dreams of climbing the social ladder. The title received development financing from the Canada Media Fund. A package of a pilot and bible is now complete.
