Studios Take Action Against Show-runners

LOS ANGELES, November 9: Twentieth Century Fox and CBS
Paramount have reportedly sent breach-of-contract letters to several
show-runners who have refused to cross the picket lines in solidarity with
writers who have been on strike since Monday.

The studios had expected the writer-producers in charge of
many shows to continue their non-writing duties on completed scripts. According
to the New York Times, some studios have
been notifying show-runners who have not come to work that they are in breach
of their contracts and that they won’t be paid as producers.

Shows that have already ceased production include The
Office, How I Met Your Mother
, The
Big Bang Theory
, Two and a Half
Men
and Rules of Engagement.
