Studio100 Readies House of Anubis for Theatrical Debut

MUNICH: Principal photography is under way on the film adaptation of House of Anubis, which Studio100 Media is releasing in cooperation with Nickelodeon Germany.

The movie is based on the hit TV series of the same name, which is currently in its sixth season in the Benelux. The German version started airing on Nickelodeon Germany in 2009, and an English-language version launched in the U.S. on Nickelodeon at the start of this year. Shooting for the film is taking place in Belgium. The movie is slated to launch in Germany, Australia and Switzerland theatrically in spring 2012.

Patrick Elemendorff, the managing director of Studio100 Media, said, "House of Anubis is the first movie to kick-start our production strategy and we plan to produce and release several films ‘home grown’ out of Germany in the future."
