Shōgun & The Bear Casts Lead 2025 SAG Awards TV Nominations

The nominees for the 2025 Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards, which will be presented in a ceremony on February 23, have been unveiled, with the cast of Shōgun scoring a leading five TV nominations and The Bear’s actors earning four.

The casts of Shōgun, Bridgerton, The Day of the Jackal, The Diplomat and Slow Horses are up for outstanding performance by an ensemble in a drama series, while the casts of Abbott Elementary, The Bear, Hacks, Only Murders in the Building and Shrinking are nominated for outstanding performance by an ensemble in a comedy series.

In the individual drama performance categories, nominated male actors are Tadanobu Asano (Shōgun), Jeff Bridges (The Old Man), Gary Oldman (Slow Horses), Eddie Redmayne (The Day of the Jackal) and Hiroyuki Sanada (Shōgun), while female actors up for the award are Kathy Bates (Matlock), Nicola Coughlan (Bridgerton), Allison Janney (The Diplomat), Keri Russell (The Diplomat) and Anna Sawai (Shōgun).

For outstanding performance in a comedy series, male nominees are Adam Brody (Nobody Wants This), Ted Danson (A Man on the Inside), Harrison Ford (Shrinking), Martin Short (Only Murders in the Building) and Jeremy Allen White (The Bear). Female nominees are Kristen Bell (Nobody Wants This), Quinta Brunson (Abbott Elementary), Liza Colón-Zayas (The Bear), Aya Edebiri (The Bear) and Jean Smart (Hacks).

Nominees for outstanding action performance by a stunt ensemble in a television series are the stunt casts of The Boys, Fallout, House of the Dragon, The Penguin and Shōgun.

Javier Bardem (Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story), Colin Farrell (The Penguin), Richard Gadd (Baby Reindeer), Kevin Kline (Disclaimer) and Andrew Scott (Ripley) are up for outstanding performance by a male actor in a TV movie or limited series, while Kathy Bates (The Great Lillian Hall), Cate Blanchett (Disclaimer), Jodie Foster (True Detective: Night Country), Lily Gladstone (Under the Bridge), Jessica Gunning (Baby Reindeer) and Cristin Milioti (The Penguin) are nominated in the female category for a TV movie or limited series.

The casts of A Complete Unknown, Anora, Conclave, Emilia Pérez and Wicked are nominated for outstanding performance in a motion picture. Individual male actors nominated for their leading roles are Adrien Brody (The Brutalist), Timothée Chalet (A Complete Unknown), Daniel Craig (Queer), Colman Domingo (Sing Sing) and Ralph Fiennes (Conclave). Individual female actors nominated for their leading roles are Pamela Anderson (The Last Showgirl), Cynthia Erivo (Wicked), Karla Sofía Gascón (Emilia Pérez), Mikey Madison (Anora) and Demi Moore (The Substance).

Outstanding performance by a male actor in a supporting role nominees are Jonathan Bailey (Wicked), Yura Borisov (Anora), Kieran Culkin (A Real Pain), Edward Norton (A Complete Unknown) and Jeremy Strong (The Apprentice). Up for the female actor in a supporting role award are Monico Barbaro (A Complete Unknown), Jamie Lee Curtis (The Last Showgirl), Danielle Deadwyler (The Piano Lesson), Ariana Grande (Wicked) and Zoe Saldaña (Emilia Pérez).

The stunt casts of Deadpool & Wolverine, Dune: Part Two, The Fall Guy, Gladiator II and Wicked are nominated for outstanding action performance in a motion picture.
