Season Two of The Voice to Launch Following Super Bowl

UNIVERSAL CITY: NBC has slated the second-season debut of The Voice to follow Super Bowl XLVI on February 5, 2012, at 10 p.m., with the vocal competition moving to its regular day and time the following night, Monday, at 8 p.m.

The Voice launches into its second season at 10 p.m. on Sunday, February 5. On February 6, it moves to the 8 p.m. slot. Also on Monday, February 6, the highly anticipated musical drama Smash launches at 10 p.m.

"The Super Bowl represents the biggest television audience of the year and we think that the return of The Voice is deserving of this prominent showcase," said Robert Greenblatt, the chairman of NBC Entertainment. "We also will shine the promotional spotlight throughout Super Bowl Sunday for Monday’s debut of Smash, which will give it a powerful launch platform."
