RDF Acquires The Comedy Unit

LONDON, August 31: RDF Media Group has reached a deal to
acquire the Glasgow-based indie The Comedy Unit for initial consideration of
£6.5 million, £4 million of which will be payable in cash and £2.5 million in
RDF shares.

The Comedy Unit was founded by former BBC Scotland
executives April Chamberlain and Colin Gilbert in 1995. Its credits include Still
Game, a spin off from the sketch show Chewin’ the
Fat. The show,
originally commissioned by BBC Scotland, has aired nationally on BBC Two.

David
Frank, RDF’s chief executive, commented, “This acquisition moves RDF into the
comedy genre with one of the most talented and best managed businesses in the

build The Comedy Unit further. This deal, which further enhances RDF’s
