Promotions at NGCI

WASHINGTON, D.C., September 25: National Geographic Channels
International (NGCI) has announced three senior-level promotions, with Germaine
Deagan Sweet now VP of content syndication, Carlyn Staudt becoming VP of
acquisitions and Tim Joyce named VP of operations.

Sweet manages global sales for NGCI’s factual programming,
working closely with NGCI’s worldwide offices to maintain broadcast
partnerships and maximize revenue in new markets, including expanding business
opportunities in VOD, mobile and broadband. She previously served as the
director of program syndication for NGCI.

Staudt is responsible for sourcing and licensing
acquisitions for National Geographic Channel, Nat Geo Adventure, Nat Geo Wild,
Nat Geo Music and children’s blocks such as Nat Geo Junior and Nat Geo y Yo.
She previously served as director of programming at NGCI.

Joyce oversees the distribution of more than 500 hours of
programming across NGCI’s five channels worldwide each year. He is responsible
for creating a comprehensive global post strategy and managing all outside
post-production vendors. He also oversees the production services department,
which handles the creation of re-versioned content. Joyce joined NGCI in 2006
as director of operations.
