Lifetime Casts Cornwell Original Movies

LOS ANGELES: The Patricia Cornwell crime novels At Risk and The Front are being adapted into Lifetime original movies, starring Andie MacDowell, Daniel Sunjata, Diahann Carroll, Annabeth Gish and Ashley Williams.

The films mark the first time ever that Cornwell’s books have been adapted for TV. At Risk follows high-powered and glamorous district attorney Monique Lamont (MacDowell, Sex, Lies and Videotape), who seeks to further her political aspirations by solving a decades-old murder. Monique’s colleague Win Garano (Sunjata, Rescue Me) grudgingly takes on the assignment. The deeper he delves into this cold case, the more twisted it becomes. Based on the second book of Patricia Cornwell’s bestselling Win Garano series, The Front brings back Lamont and Garano in a fast-paced mystery. Carroll (Grey’s Anatomy) stars as Garano’s grandmother; Gish (Brotherhood) plays Garano’s co-worker; and Williams (Saving Grace) is a detective who becomes Garano’s love interest.

At Risk and The Front are produced by Once Upon a Time Films in association with Head First Productions for Lifetime Television.
