Peace Arch Caps Off Successful MIPTV

TORONTO, April 21: Peace
Arch Entertainment has closed television and DVD deals on 18 titles in 14
territories at MIPTV, the best showing in the company’s history.

The four-hour mini-series Guns
was picked up by RTL2 in Germany, Free
Dolphin in Spain, Nu Metro in South Africa and Movie Network in Australia. The
series stars Elisha Cuthbert, Lyriq Bent and Colm Feore in a tale of four
families caught up in illegal weapons trafficking.

Peace Arch also closed
deals on Never Cry Werewolf,
starring Nina Dobrev and Kevin Sorbo; the crime drama The Last Hit Man, starring Joe Mantegna; and the family drama Ace
of Hearts
, starring Dean Cain.
Licensees include Nu Metro, Movie Network, BSkyB in the U.K., RTE in Ireland,
Phoenicia in the Middle East, Daro in Eastern Europe and Lime-Light in the
Benelux.

Further sales were made on
the drama Guantanamero, the
comedies Shred and Shred 2, the thriller Devil’s Mercy and the romantic comedy Watching the Detectives. Lifestyle programming sold included Bulging
Brides
, which was taken on by WEtv
for Spain and Latin America.
