REDMOND: Nintendo has unveiled new gaming slates for its Wii U home console and the Nintendo 3DS family of portable systems, set to roll out through the remainder of this year.

The Super Mario Maker Wii U game is due out in September, with Walmart and its online service becoming exclusive retailers for a special Super Mario Maker Wii U bundle that will include the game, Idea Book and the 30th-anniversary Mario Modern Color amiibo. Also launching in September is the Skylanders SuperChargers Starter Pack for Wii U from Activision, which for the first time in Skylanders history will feature Donkey Kong and Bowser as playable characters.

Additional Wii U games will include Yoshi’s Wooly World; a pack composed of both New Super Mario Bros. U and New Super Luigi U; and Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water, co-developed by Koei Tecmo Games, all slated for October. November will see the launch of Star Fox Zero, while the company is releasing Devil’s Third in December, among other holiday launches.

In Nintendo 3DS news, Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer is due out in September, with Chibi-Robo! Zip Lash and The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes coming out in October, and YO-KAI WATCH and Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon becoming available in November, among other games.

“Nintendo has games, amiibo and systems to satisfy all kinds of players, whether they’re looking for back-to-school gifts or getting an early start on their holiday shopping,” said Scott Moffitt, Nintendo of America’s executive VP of sales and marketing. “No one can match the quality or uniqueness of what Nintendo has to offer for the rest of 2015.”
