New Paramount Leadership Team Takes Shape

With the Skydance Media and Paramount Global merger set to be completed this week, the company has unveiled its new executive team under David Ellison.

The merged company will be structured into three divisions—studios, direct-to-consumer and TV media—with Ellison at the helm as chairman and CEO and Jeff Shell, previously chairman of RedBird Sports and Media, serving as president.

“I’m thrilled to introduce our new executive leadership team—backed by deep industry experience, proven track records and a shared commitment to excellence, this world-class team is uniquely equipped to rise to the occasion and deliver on our bold vision for a new Paramount,” Ellison said. “Each member was chosen to align with our goals and with the intention to drive transformation. Together, we will foster an environment where creative and technical talent collaborate seamlessly, marrying leading technologies with powerful storytelling and artistic vision to unlock Paramount’s full potential and help shape the future of our industry.”

Andy Gordon, also formerly with RedBird, has been tapped as chief strategy officer and COO. George Cheeks, who has been one of Paramount’s three co-CEOs since Bob Bakish’s exit, will be chair of TV media. Dana Goldberg will chair Paramount Television and serve as co-chair of Paramount Pictures alongside Josh Greenstein, who will also be vice chair of platforms. Cindy Holland will chair the direct-to-consumer segment, guiding Paramount+ and Pluto TV. Stephanie Kyoko McKinnon has been named general counsel and acting chief legal officer. Jim Sterner is chief people officer. Melissa Zukerman has been appointed chief communications officer. Andrew Warren will continue as interim CFO.

Those leaving the company post-merger include co-CEO Chris McCarthy; Dan Cohen, chief content officer; and Tom Ryan, CEO and president of streaming.
