Nat Geo WILD & Mashable in Digital Partnership

NEW YORK/WASHINGTON, D.C.: Nat Geo WILD and Mashable are partnering up to co-produce and co-distribute two original series for the brands’ digital and social platforms.

The partnership will revive vintage National Geographic footage from its film archives and utilize Mashable Studios’ prowess in producing digital-first series. The first series under the partnership will examine how animals use tools in their natural habitats to survive. The second will be a comedy series featuring some of National Geographic’s archival content. Both series will begin production in early 2017.

“Nat Geo WILD is thrilled to partner with Mashable on this exciting new venture,” said Geoff Daniels, the executive VP and general manager of Nat Geo WILD. “By combining National Geographic’s 128-year legacy of adventure and exploration with Mashable’s innovative, best-in-the-business digital expertise, we are poised to create quality content that our audiences will love. The collaboration further strengthens our commitment to deliver fun, engaging content anywhere and everywhere for our viewers.”
