Mobile Streams’ Comedy Channel to Launch in New Territories

LONDON, August 3: Mobile
Streams, a global mobile music and media specialist, will launch its Comedy
Channel on Vodafone’s multimedia entertainment service Vodafone live! in
Ireland, New Zealand and Australia.

The Comedy Channel was
launched on Vodafone UK in July 2005. Its content includes clips from
established comic franchises like “Wallace & Gromit” and Mr. Bean, as well as made-for-mobile content like Happy
Tree Friends. The Comedy Channel’s
content can be downloaded in a variety of formats, such as video, images and
ringtones.

Sarah Chapman, the content
services manager at Vodafone Ireland, said: "We chose Mobile Streams as
one of our main comedy partners following the success of the Vodafone UK
service, [with which they demonstrated] their extensive knowledge of the
complexities of creating and maintaining a comedy channel for mobile.”
