MarVista Entertainment Hires New Production and Sales Execs

LOS ANGELES, April 5: To manage its increased production and
acquisition activity, MarVista Entertainment has appointed a number of new
executives, including Beatrice McMillan and Vanessa Goglio as sales VPs.

The new hires are due to a more aggressive production and
acquisition strategy that yielded close to 200 hours of programming last year.
Acquisitions at MarVista have also been bolstered after the company hired
former PorchLight Entertainment executive Zac Reeder in September last year.

In McMillan’s new role as VP of sales, she will be
responsible for overseeing program licensing to territories that include
Germany, the U.K., Australia and New Zealand, Mexico and Brazil. Previously,
she served as the VP of sales and licensing at SOFA Entertainment, a position
she held for seven years. In her new position, Goglio will manage territories
that include France, Italy, Japan and Scandinavia. Most recently, she was the
director of worldwide pay television at Sony Pictures Television International
(SPTI), a position she held for the last four years of her ten-year stint with
the company. Prior to SPTI, Goglio worked at Columbia Tristar’s International
Television division. McMillan and Goglio will both report to Fernando Szew, the
CEO of MarVista Entertainment, and Michael D. Jacobs, the president of MarVista
Entertainment.

In addition, Todd Palatnik joins MarVista as the director of
technical services, where he will facilitate the seamless distribution of
programming to clients, using post-production skills honed at Point 360
Woodholly Productions and Carlton America. Finally, Nicole Hoag joins MarVista
as the manager of marketing and communications from FOX Broadcasting Company.
At FOX, she was in the publicity department, working on hit shows such as The
O.C
., Til Death and American Idol, and events such as The Golden Globe Awards,
Billboard Music Awards and Teen Choice Awards.
