Beyond to Distribute Package from MTV Networks

SYDNEY, August 11: Beyond
Distribution has been named the worldwide distributor for a collection of programming
from MTV Networks’ VH1 and Logo channels for launch at MIPCOM.

VH1’s Sex: The
Revolution
is a four-part
documentary series exploring when in American history traditional morality
regarding sex was challenged. The program features rare footage, classic clips,
iconic music and interviews. Also from VH1, The Cho Show follows stand-up comedian Margaret Cho and her
entourage as they scour the absurd depths of the entertainment industry, pop
culture and societal taboo.

The dating reality show
Transamerican Love Story
from Logo
follows Calpernia Addams, who is openly transgendered, as she whittles down a
group of eight bachelors living together in a Los Angeles-area home. Logo’s The
Big Gay Sketch Show
sees eight
comedic actors tackle a combination of traditional and music-based sketches,
pop-culture parodies and recurring characters, all from a gay perspective. The
show is executive produced by Rosie O’Donnell with celebrity guest appearances
from Elaine Stretch, Christine Ebersole, Kate Clinton, Paul Vogt and Chastity
Bono.

Fiona Crago, the general manager of Beyond Distribution, said: “I am thrilled to
be increasing our collection of titles from MTV Networks. It has been a winning
collaboration in the past. The programming produced is not only of the highest
quality but always guaranteed to be edgy, fresh and willing to push the
boundaries—which is exactly the type of programming we love.”
