Luther Star Idris Elba to Launch Show at MIPTV

LONDON: Among the roster of star talent heading to Cannes for MIPTV is Idris Elba, who will be on hand to launch the BBC drama Luther, distributed by BBC Worldwide.

Elba is best know for his role as Stringer Bell in The Wire, as well as from films such as American Gangster, RocknRolla and Obsessed. Luther is slated to premiere on BBC One this spring and BBC Worldwide has already presold the show in Sweden (TV4) and Belgium (VRT).

Also on the BBC Worldwide slate is the highly anticipated debut of Sherlock and Strike Back.
