WARSAW: The soon-to-launch channel Kino Polska Muzyka, the latest addition to the Kino Polska portfolio, will focus on music, as well as cinema and pop culture in Poland.

The new service will combine the film offerings from Telewizja Kino Polska with the presentation of classic Polish music. Kino Polska Muzyka has slated film biographies about musicians and documentaries showing how well-known records were made, chronicling gigs and concert tours, as well as the lives of Polish stars. There will also be a series of movies devoted to music. Special programs about Polish music will also be prepared.

"We will showcase the best in Polish music," said Joanna Rożen-Wojciechowska, the programming director of Telewizja Kino Polska. "We have a vast record archive, we look for hits from our parents’ and grandparents’ youth. We mix our experience with our passion for music. I think we can take our viewers on a great sentimental journey. Nothing joins generations like music does!"
