Kilar, Allaire Tapped for Internet TV Keynotes at MIPTV

PARIS, February 14: Jason
Kilar, the CEO of Hulu, and Jeremy Allaire, the chairman and CEO of Brightcove,
will deliver the keynote speeches to open the Online Video/Advertising &
Media day on Tuesday, April 8, at the 45th MIPTV featuring MILIA.

Kilar’s keynote speech,
titled “Sex, Lies, & Online TV,” will share how new online distribution
channels have raised the bar for the viewing experience and how they can
provide a compelling platform to generate revenue and reach new audiences.
Kilar joined Hulu, the online video joint venture of News Corporation and NBC
Universal, after nearly a decade at Amazon.com, where he served as the senior
VP of worldwide application software. Prior to that, Kilar served as the VP and
general manager of Amazon's North American media businesses. He began his
career with The Walt Disney Company, where he worked for Disney Design &
Development.

Meanwhile, in Allaire’s
keynote, “Beyond Aggregation: Blended Distribution, Audience Networks &
Monetization,” he will showcase examples of media companies taking advantage of
blended distribution strategies, pointing to industry trends that signal
opportunities for growth and development. Allaire founded the Internet TV
platform Brightcove in early 2004. Prior to founding Brightcove, he worked for
the Cambridge, Massachusetts-based venture capital firm General Catalyst. Prior
to General Catalyst, Allaire was the chief technology officer of Macromedia. He
joined Macromedia with its merger with Allaire Corporation, where he was a
co-founder and chief technology officer.

Both keynotes are part of
MIPTV featuring MILIA's 2008 conference program entitled "Audiences on the
Move," in which the latest global developments in TV programming,
advertising, online video distribution, telco-media convergence, mobile media
and social networking will be the main themes. The 45th MIPTV featuring MILIA
will be held in Cannes, April 7-11.
