Keshet International Unveils New Gaming Division

TEL AVIV: Keshet International has launched a new unit focused on the global gaming sector, with veteran TV executive Ziv Rabinovich tapped to head the division.

The venture will be an independent, international entity developing original mobile and social gaming product for the consumer market while servicing third-party clients and exploiting existing Keshet IP. Rabinovich, who most recently served as Keshet’s head of operations, is now head of the gaming division. He will report to CEO Alon Shtruzman.

“Israel is well-known as the tech ‘start-up nation,’” Shtruzman said. “Not only does the tech industry thrive there, but digital products have a very strong take-up by people of all ages. We have been quick to embrace the second screen and a move into gaming is a logical next step. With a global market of over $11.4 billion up for grabs, we are keen to harness the power, creativity and tech know-how of the Keshet brand to enter it. Ziv’s core role in KI along with his background in gaming made him the natural choice to take the venture forward.”

Rabinovich added: “Launching a gaming division within the creative Keshet environment, along with its backing and infrastructure, gives us the opportunity to develop, test and fine-tune our products, locally driving traffic to them via our well-established channels, before launching them in other international markets.”
