Just For Entertainment Distribution Acquires More Abroad

Just For Entertainment Distribution has acquired the fourth season of Longhope Media’s Abroad.

Co-created by Isabel Kanaan, who also stars, the series is loosely based on her experience immigrating to Canada as a teenager and recently becoming a new mother. Season four gives a humorous look at how immigrants think, perceive and deal with living in Canada.

Season four stars Justin Santiago, Nicco Lorenzo Garcia, Joy Castro and Aldrin Bundoc alongside Kanaan. Additional stars are Byron Abalos, Mark Andrada, Jon Blair, Ma-Anne Dionisio, Chris Robinson, Christian Smith, Tara Spencer-Nairn and Jillian Welsh.

Season four of Abroad is set to premiere in Canada on May 18 on OMNI 2, OMNI BC and OMNI Alberta. Just For Entertainment Distribution holds the international distribution rights for all four seasons.

Since premiering in 2022, sketches from Abroad have received over 35 million views on Instagram and over 6.2 million views on TikTok.

The series is produced by Longhope Media in association with OMNI Television, a division of Rogers Sports & Media.
