Judges Revealed for 2015 License This! Challenge at BLE

LONDON: The judging panel has been unveiled for the sixth edition of the License This! competition, which is taking place at this year's Brand Licensing Europe (BLE) in London.

The License This! challenge gives creative concepts the opportunity to break into the worldwide licensing industry. The judging panel will be chaired by Kelvyn Gardner, the managing director of LIMA UK. Gardner will be joined by Charlie Donaldson, joint managing director of Rocket Licensing; Tom Gunn, international brand director for EMEA at MTV Networks; and Wendy Munt, consultant for Be Inspired Consulting.

The judges will shortlist four entries that will be pitched to them in front of an audience during BLE on October 15. The winner will receive a fully furnished stand at next year's BLE, where they can present their property to the market. They will also be given a 12-month LIMA membership and one ticket to the LIMA Licensing Essentials Course & Spring Fling Networking Party in May 2016. The deadline for entries is September 4, 2015.

Gardner said: "With licensing increasingly being recognized as an extension of the creative process, it's vital that we continue to encourage new talent to embrace consumer products at the nascent stage of new properties. License This! is a rare platform, one that allows new talent access to experienced executives in a competitive format that we think really drives them to make their creations as good as they can be. I'm looking forward enormously to chairing this year's event."
