Image Entertainment Secures DVD Rights to SCI FI Movies

CHATSWORTH, January 30: Image Entertainment has secured the
DVD and digital download rights from NBC Universal Television Distribution to
14 titles originally produced for the SCI FI Channel’s signature Saturday night
movie franchise.

In a multi-year agreement with NBC Universal Television
Distribution, original movies such as Terminal Invasion, starring Bruce Campbell, and Manticore with Jeff Fahey will be among the first releases on
DVD in North America. Image also plans to make the titles available for digital
download.

Additional titles slated for release include Snakehead
Terror, Interceptor Force 2, Darklight, Crimson Force, Alien
Siege, Locusts: The 8th Plague, Threshold, Webs, Bugs,
Encrypt, Deathlands and Do or Die. These movies were part of SCI FI Saturday: The Most
Dangerous Night of Television, SCI FI
Channel’s lineup of original programming that includes horror flicks and
contemporary thrillers.
