Heroes Scores for SCI FI U.K.

LONDON, February 20: The
launch of Heroes in the U.K.
last night gave SCI FI its highest-ever ratings and best multichannel
prime-time position in its 12-year history.

The hit NBC series,
distributed by NBC Universal International Television Distribution, peaked with
622,766 adults and a 4.3-percent share on SCI FI U.K. It generated the
channel's highest program rating ever and its highest prime-time TVR
performance with a 0.94 rating and a 2.4-percent share.

Nick Betts, the managing
director of SCI FI, commented: "This result is a spectacular way to start
the series' run. It more than validates the belief we had in the show the
moment we saw it at last year's L.A. Screenings and reflects the hard work
everyone at SCI FI has put into launching it."

The show is slated for a
free-TV launch later this year on BBC Two.
