HBO Updates Linear Channel Names

HBO is updating the names of six linear channels in the U.S. “to better reflect the respective content offerings.”

HBO2 is rebranding as HBO Hits, while HBO Signature becomes HBO Drama. HBO Zone is being renamed as HBO Movies. In addition, MoreMAX becomes Cinemax Hits, ActionMAX relaunches as Cinemax Action and 5starMAX is being renamed Cinemax Classics.

The updated names will be reflected in available HBO Max in-app “channels” delivering live simulcasts of the channels.
