HBO Unveils New Comedy Series Starring Steve Carell

HBO’s Rooster, created by Bill Lawrence and Matt Tarses, will star Steve Carell, who also serves as executive producer.

The ten-episode season, from Warner Bros. Television, will debut on HBO in March 2026. Rooster is a comedy set on a college campus that centers on an author’s (Carell) complicated relationship with his daughter (Charly Clive).

The show is executive produced by Lawrence, Jeff Ingold and Liza Katzer for Doozer, Matt Tarses, Jonathan Krisel, Barbie Adler, Annie Mebane, David Stassen and Anthony King.

Other cast members include Danielle Deadwyler, Phil Dunster, John C. McGinley, and Lauren Tsai.
