HBO to Debut Josh Johnson Comedy Special

Josh Johnson: Symphony will debut on HBO this spring.

“Josh Johnson releases more comedy in a year than most people do in a career,” said Nina Rosenstein, executive VP of HBO programming for late night and specials. “He tells stories with an incredible rhythm, and it makes the whole room feel like they’re listening to a friend. There’s a musicality to his work, and Symphony captures that perfectly. We’re so proud to bring Josh to HBO.”

This will be the comedian’s first HBO comedy special. Johnson, Jacob Menache, James Dixon, Daniel Bodansky and John Irwin serve as executive producers, with Menache also directing the special.

“I’m excited to have my breakout piece be with a company that nurtures vision like HBO does,” said Johnson. “I’m grateful to them and you for watching.
