Granada TV Lands in Singapore

SINGAPORE: ITV Global Entertainment’s new general-entertainment channel for Asia, Granada TV, has secured carriage on SingTel’s IPTV platform mio TV.

The channel launched on the platform yesterday as part of the SuperSaver English Pack and on an à-la-carte basis. It delivers programming from the ITV library, including Prime Suspect, The Jeremy Kyle Show, The Friday Night Project, Ballroom Bootcamp and Airline

"SingTel is one the world’s leading multimedia platforms and we are delighted to have chosen mio TV as the Southeast Asian launch partner for Granada TV," said James Ross, the regional director for Asia at ITV Global Entertainment. "This agreement is a natural extension of our recent premium VOD deal that will see some of the best in ITV Global Entertainment drama and documentaries become available one month after their U.K. telecast."
