Former TELETOON Exec Caroline Tyre Joins D360

TORONTO: Caroline Tyre, who was previously the director of programming at TELETOON, has joined Distribution360 as director of business development, while Smiljka Baljozovic comes to the company in a sales role.

Tyre will be focusing on expanding D360's catalogue through third-party acquisitions and will also be developing new TV and digital media business opportunities for the company. Previously, Tyre was involved in the acquisition and sales divisions of companies such as Entertainment One, CBC and DECODE Entertainment (now DHX Media). She was the director of programming at TELETOON for more than five years. At D360, Tyre reports to Mark Bishop, managing partner.

D360 has also hired Baljozovic, as a sales executive, focusing on Eastern Europe, Latin America and French-speaking territories. Previously, Baljozovic held roles at Sumerhill Entertainment, CBC and Fireworks International (now Content Media Corporation). Baljozovic reports to Kirsten Hurd, in her newly promoted role as director of international sales and acquisitions.

Martin Sieg, interactive brand manager at marblemedia, parent company of D360, has expanded his remit. Sieg now oversees the exploitation of content on non-traditional distribution channels for D360's catalogue.
