LONDON/AMSTERDAM: Endemol Shine Group has launched the new games developer and publisher Good Catch, with the app KSI Unleashed being the first title released under the label.

Good Catch, wholly owned by Endemol Shine Group, will create entertainment-focused games across multiple platforms for audiences around the world. KSI Unleashed is now available globally for Android and iOS devices. The 2D arena-style “beat-’em-up” game features U.K. gamer KSIOlajidebt. It is free to download with in-app purchases. The label will also create original IP games following on the success of PC “ninja brawler” Black & White Bushido, which is launching soon on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Anil Mistry, previously Endemol Shine UK’s head of apps and games, has become the managing director of Good Catch, working under Wim Ponnet, Endemol Shine’s group director of strategy and commercial development.

Mistry remarked: “This is an exciting opportunity to build an engaging portfolio of games across all platforms with well known global brands and original games. Endemol Shine is a company built on creativity coupled with technical know-how and delivery; Good Catch [is] well placed to turn great ideas into great games.”

Ponnet added: “The launch of Good Catch marks Endemol Shine’s commitment to developing high-quality gaming and reaching audiences directly. The team has a proven track record of creating exciting, engaging content that players love playing.”

Black & White Bushido and KSI Unleashed will both be available to play at the upcoming Legends of Gaming Live event, which is taking place at the Alexandra Palace in London from September 10 to 11.
