Electric Sky Boosts Catalogue

BRIGHTON, August 16:
Electric Sky has acquired the worldwide distribution rights to titles from
Blakeway Productions, Prospect Pictures, Michael Hoff Productions and Freeform,
ranging from timely documentaries to lifestyle series.

Included in the
acquisitions is Blakeway’s Clash of Worlds, a three-part series for the BBC that looks at historical tensions
between Christians and Muslims. Another title being handled by Electric Sky is
Michael Hoff Productions’ The Red Triangle, a one-hour special that explores a 120-mile stretch
of the California coast where Great White Sharks gather.

Electric Sky will also
represent the second season of the Freeform title A Place in the
Sun—Home or Away
, a series
devoted to finding homes in Britain or abroad for people who want to relocate.
Other acquisitions from include U.K. producer Prospect Pictures’ Call Me a
Cabbie
(7×23 minutes), in which celebrities
take various tests in order to become taxi drivers, and Animal Winter Games (50 minutes), produced by wildlife filmmaker John
Downer, in which, by the use of CGI, humans compete against Artic animals in
grueling athletic competitions, including cross-country, giant slalom and ski
jump.
