Distraction to Roll Out Trade Up at MIPCOM

LONDON,
September 27: Distraction has added Trade Up, originally known as Paquet
Voleur
,
the prime-time game show from Bubbles Television, to its slate of offerings for
MIPCOM.

Trade
Up
watches
eight contestants face off against each other to win a cash prize of C$1
million. The show is broadcast on Friday nights at 8 p.m. on Société
Radio-Canada. The show’s recent premiere on the network, on September 21,
gained a share of 37 percent from its broadcast, more than tripling the
previous share for the slot.

“We
are happy to be launching Trade Up (Paquet Voleur) at MIPCOM,” said
Michel Rodrigue, the president and CEO of Distraction. “There is no doubt that
the format will distinguish itself on the international scene. Audiences enjoy
game shows which involve thought, strategy and competition, not to mention the
huge amounts of money.”
