DIRECTV Revenues Rise 18 Percent

EL SEGUNDO, November 7: For the third quarter, DIRECTV has
reported revenues of $4.33 billion, an 18-percent gain on the same period last
year, although net profit at the DTH operator fell 14 percent to $319 million.

At DIRECTV U.S., revenues increased 14 percent to $3.89
billion, thanks to subscriber gains, with a net addition of 240,000 in the
period, a 45-percent increase. Churn was down to 1.61 percent at the platform,
which had 16.56 million subscribers at September 30, 2007, a 6-percent rise
over last year. ARPU at the platform was up 8.3 percent to $78.79, principally
due to programming package price increases, higher HD and DVR equipment,
service and lease fees, as well as one additional week of NFL Sunday Ticket
revenues.

DIRECTV Latin America had a nearly fourfold increase in net
subscriber additions to 161,000, primarily due to subscriber growth in Brazil,
Argentina, Colombia and Venezuela. Churn was down to 1.41 percent, and the
platform had 3.09 million subscribers at the end of the quarter, a 17-percent
increase. DIRECTV Latin America posted revenues of $442 million, a 67-percent
increase.
