Corus Entertainment’s Kids Networks Reveal Fall Schedules

TORONTO, July 17: Corus
Entertainment has announced the highlights from the fall schedules across its
trio of kids’ networks: YTV, Treehouse and Discovery Kids Canada.

This fall, YTV’s Saturday
morning cartoon block will feature the premiere of the new original animated
production Storm Hawks, which
debuts as a one-hour special in its regular timeslot on Saturday, September 8,
at 10 a.m. The 52×30-minute series is centered on five mismatched teens who
fight villains in the sky on their flying motorcycles.

Nickelodeon’s U.S. series Naked
Brothers Band
also heads to YTV
for a slot in its revamped programming block The Zone, on Monday, September 10, at 5 p.m. Created by real-life
mom Polly Draper (thirtysomething),
the series chronicles the fame, friendship, temporary break-up and adolescence
of the members of a rock band led by singer-songwriter Nat, 11, and 8-year-old
drummer Alex. YTV will also broadcast The Naked Brothers Band Movie on Monday, September 3, at 4 p.m.

The original reality
series The Adrenaline Project, will
join YTV’s fall schedule on September 29 at 7 p.m. Produced by marblemedia (This

), the series puts five
thrill-seeking teens to the test with rigorous physical and mental challenges
in preparation for the ultimate extreme event. The Adrenaline Project joins Get Real!, a two-hour reality themed programming block
starting this fall on Saturday evenings at 6 p.m. Viewers can watch
back-to-back episodes of Prank Patrol, Mystery Hunters and Ghost
Trackers
, airing alongside The
Adrenaline Project
. And for the
first time in Canada, YTV will broadcast Nickelodeon's Kids Choice Awards on
Monday, September 3, at 6 p.m.

Discovery Kids Canada’s
fall schedule will emphasize nature, science and mathematics. The educational
3-D animated series The Zula Patrol will premiere on the network Monday, September 3, at 4:30 p.m. The
series focuses on science and astronomy, with wacky characters, aliens and
creatures taking viewers on a roller-coaster ride across the Universe. The fall
lineup will also include the new British decorating and home renovation series
targeted at kids, Home On Their Own,
premiering Tuesday, September 4, at 1 p.m. The new culinary-themed series for
kids, Surprise! It's Edible! Incredible! will premiere on Monday, September 3, at 7 a.m. Discovery Kids Canada
will also air new episodes of Animal Atlas and Prank Patrol this
fall.

Treehouse will launch the
new Canadian 2-D animated series My Friend Rabbit, which is based on Eric Rohmann's award-winning
book. The network’s fall schedule will also see the premiere of the original
Canadian-produced unscripted kids’ travel series Are We There Yet?, which will also head to Discovery Kids Canada.
The series, hosted by two sets of real-life brothers and sisters, will premiere
on Treehouse Monday, September 3, at 7:55 p.m. and on Discovery Kids Saturday,
September 8, at 10:30 a.m. The series Land Before Time, created by Don Bluth, also heads to Treehouse, launching September 8 at 8
a.m. New episodes of The Backyardigans, Elmo's World, Global

Grover, Go Diego Go, Play With Me Sesame,
Thomas & Friends and Wonderpets will also be returning to Treehouse this fall.
