Granada Shores Up Deals in Latin America

LONDON, October 16: Granada International has secured a raft
of sales in Latin America, including a package of more than 100 hours to
Hallmark for its Latin American feed.

Ideal, a new channel that launched in Brazil on October 1,
has picked up a number of documentary series, including Airline, China Inside and Surviving Extremes.
The channel is owned by Abril, and its launch, along with Fiz TV, marks the
return of the group to the broadcasting arena.

Flavio Medeiros, the senior sales executive at Granada
International based in Rio, commented: "I am delighted that we are one of
the main content providers for Ideal's new channel. The channel's aim is to
appeal to a growing upscale audience in Brazil and we are sure that our
programming can deliver the right kind of audience. We hope this is the start
of a long and lasting relationship with Ideal."

Additionally, Granada has also sold more than 100 hours of
programming to Hallmark for its Latin American feed, including Durham County, Instinct and The Jane Austen Collection, along with many other shows which were launched at MIPTV in April.
