Cineflix Appoints Three New Executives to Management Team

LONDON, April 5: Cineflix has appointed three key executive
staff to its management team: Rob Carey as the head of factual entertainment,
Nick Godwin as executive producer and Gavin McGarry as the VP of digital media.

In his new role, Carey, who will join Cineflix in mid-April,
will head the Cineflix U.K. office, delivering a distinctive range of popular
returning series. Carey was previously the head of factual entertainment at the
U.K. independent company At It Productions, where he created and executive
produced the new BBC Children’s Saturday morning hit Hider In The House. Prior to that, he served as creative director of
factual entertainment and features at Mentorn Barraclough from 2001-2006.
There, he created Britain’s Worst Driver, which grew into the highly successful Britain’s Worst… franchise for Five that ran for 10 seasons in the U.K. and currently
broadcasts in over 30 countries.

Godwin was previously the head of documentaries at Wag TV
where he developed and executive produced amongst others: Face of Britain, a three part Channel 4 series about Britain’s
genetic history for broadcast this month; The Escort Agency and How to Start a Sex Cult for C4; Brian Sewell’s Grand Tour, a 10-part series for Five; and Kings of
Construction
, a six part series for
Discovery. He also developed and directed several high profile one-offs
including Cult Killer for C4’s Cutting
Edge
and Trouble in Paradise: The
Pitcairn Story
for C4.

As the VP of digital media, McGarry, based in Cineflix’s
Toronto office, will oversee new media and interactive broadcast properties as
well as business development and strategic planning for the company. He joins
Cineflix from Endemol, where he was head of cross platform business
development. His role there included developing cross platform formats and new
media business strategies, as well as capitalizing on opportunities for content
aggregation.
