NEW YORK: AMC Networks is rebranding Chellomedia, which it acquired earlier this year, to AMC Networks International, which will also encompass AMC/Sundance Channel Global.

The combined operation under the new name will consist of six operating units. AMC Networks International's Asia-Pacific unit includes Sundance Channel, MGM Channel, WE tv and JimJam. It is led by Bruce Tuchman, who will also continue to serve as the president of AMC/Sundance Channel and MGM Channel Global. AMC Networks International's Central European unit is led by Mike Moriarty. It includes the channels Sport 1, Sport 2, Sport M, OBN, Minimax, Megamax, Spektrum, Spektrum Home, TV Paprika, Film Mánia, Film Café and MGM Channel.

Eduardo Zulueta leads the AMC Networks International units in Iberia and Latin America. The Iberian operation encompasses Canal Hollywood (Spain and Portugal), XTRM, CTK, MGM Channel, Somos, Buzz, Odisea, Odisseia, Natura, Historia (Spain and Portugal), Bio, Crimen + Investigación, Canal Cocina, Canal Decasa, Sol Música, Canal Panda (Spain and Portugal), Biggs and Mov. The Latin American channels are MGM Channel, MGM Channel HD, Film&Arts, Europa Europa, elgourmet, Casa Club TV, Cosmopolitan TV, Ella, Canal (á), AM Sports and Reality TV.

AMC Networks International—Zone (EMEA) includes CBS Reality, CBS Drama, CBS Action, CBS Europa, Horror Channel, Horror Channel Italy, JimJam, JimJam Polsat, Extreme Sports Channel, MGM Channel and Outdoor Channel. Dermot Shortt heads up the unit. In addition to Central Europe, Moriarty is also heading up AMC Networks International—DMC, which is a European-based global media technology and distribution company.

“Re-naming Chellomedia is a natural next step as we continue to integrate this portfolio of channels and transition AMC Networks into a global media company,” said Ed Carroll, AMC Networks' COO.
