MTV Programming Scores Worldwide Sales

NEW YORK: Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) has revealed that a number of MTV series and events, including the Video Music Awards (VMA), have been sold around the globe.

The 2014 Movie Awards, 2014 VMA and 2014 EMA have been taken by Azteca in Mexico, PT. Televisi Anak Spacetoon in Indonesia and TV2 in Denmark. VMA 2014 is also headed to Musique Plus for French-speaking Canada and Albania's Digitalb, which also went for 2014 EMA.

In Africa, ZAP TV picked up 40 Greatest R&B Songs of the 90s for broadcast in Angola and Mozambique. Canada's Vrak TV acquired Miley Cyrus: Unplugged and Miley: The Movement, which was also licensed by ABS-CBN's Lifestyle Network in the Philippines.

Catfish is headed to Mexico's Canal Once, Malaysia's Metropolitan TV, Danish broadcaster TV3, French channel D17 and Belgium's SBS. Generation Cryo is slated to air on Vrak TV in Canada and Skjarrin in Iceland. True Life has secured a slot on RTL Netherlands, while The Hills was snapped up by SIC Mulher in Portugal.
