CBeebies Expands Presence in U.S. Hispanic Market & Latin America

MIAMI: The preschool channel CBeebies has continued to expand its reach in the U.S. Hispanic market as well as in Latin America, with carriage through the DishLATINO package.

"We have succeeded in making CBeebies an attractive alternative for family entertainment, offering a wide selection of formats with safe and engaging content," said Jessica Rodriguez, the senior VP and general manager of BBC Worldwide Latin America and U.S. Hispanic.

"Between December 2008 and July 2010, CBeebies experienced a 43-percent growth in distribution in the U.S. Hispanic market and Latin America, demonstrating the need that exists in both regions for preschool content that is entertaining, possesses high quality, and is 100 percent in Spanish," Rodriguez added.

During September, CBeebies launched its new animated series Everything’s Rosie (El Mundo de Rosie) and a new season of Garth & Bev (El Mundo Magico de Garth & Bev).
