CBC Announces MIPCOM Deals

TORONTO, October 24: CBC International Sales inked a variety of deals at MIPCOM, including
several in Europe and Asia on the one-hour special High Heel Confidential.

The special, which looks
at the world of high heels, has sold to Discovery in France, Italy and India,
as well as SBS in the Netherlands.

Meanwhile, ABC Australia
picked up Diet Confidential, a
behind the scenes look at the diet industry. Also in Australia, SBS opted for
Cirque du Soleil’s Solstrom: The Special, which also was picked up by EBS in Korea. SBS also acquired Nuclear
Jihad: Can Terrorists Get the Bomb?.

The third season of 72
Hours: True Crime, with 45
half-hour episodes, was sold to Zonemedia in the U.K. and Claxson in Latin
America, and SVT Sweden picked up Cuba: The Green Revolution.
