CANNESERIES Reveals Official Award Winners for 2018

The official and digital competition award winners were presented during the first edition of the Cannes International Series Festival (CANNESERIES).

Among the official competition award recipients was When Heroes Fly, created by Israel’s Omri Givon, which took home the prize for best series. The show is sold by Keshet International.

Winners of the other categories were Francesco Montanari for best performance in Italy’s Cacciatore—The Hunter; Ran Danker, Raul Mendez, Aviv Carmi, Omer Ben David and Miguelito Sojuel, who won the special performance prize for Israel’s Miguel; Mette Marit Bølstad (based on an idea by Synnøve Hørsdal and a concept by Siv Rajendram Eliassen) for best screenplay with State of Happiness from Norway’s Lykkeland; and State of Happiness‘s Ginge for best music.

The best digital series prize went to Dominos, which was created by Zoé Pelchat in Canada. There were a total of ten digital short-format series in the running.
