Big Idea Bolsters VeggieTales Content

NASHVILLE, May 30: Big
Idea is celebrating the 15th anniversary of VeggieTales with an expanded licensing and merchandising
campaign, as well as a commemorative DVD release and an all-new live show.

On August 19, Big Idea and
Genius Entertainment will release a special anniversary DVD of VeggieTales’ first animated video, Where’s God When I’m
S-Scared?
, which teaches kids
valuable lessons about handling their fears. Meanwhile, a 10-week, 40-city live
tour, God Made You Special, will kick off this fall, running from September to
November.

Random House will publish
two new titles this summer, LarryBoy and the Fib from Outer Space and Lyle the Kindly Viking. New VeggieTales toys, collectibles and plush will also roll out
this year. Blue Box will expand its toy line with new items hitting retail
shelves this fall. Pint Sized Productions is also growing its line of
collectible plush items with an assortment of new Bob and Larry merchandise,
debuting in October, while Talicor is working on a variety of new puzzles.
Crossroads Apparel will showcase a new toddler- and youth-sized The Pirates Who
Don’t Do Anything
and
Christmas-themed T-shirts this fall. Also for Christmas, Dicksons will
introduce a line that includes an assortment of VeggieTales-themed ornaments, stockings and snow globes.

even wider audience.”
